Al-Ali v. The United States Update - 7/7/06
As
stated in our last update, Chief Judge Damich issued a Discovery Scheduling
Order informing both parties that discovery on liability must be completed by May
15, 2007. In the meantime,
both parties have agreed to select representative plaintiffs for both discovery
and trial purposes. We are
currently working with defendants in identifying and selecting representative
plaintiffs from various stations for the purposes of conducting discovery.
During this process, some of you may be contacted for this purpose
therefore, it is important that you inform our office of any changes to your
address and/or contact information.
Also,
some of you have not yet returned your completed Confidential Questionnaire that
was mailed to you back in May of this year. The information you provide in this Questionnaire is
strictly confidential and will be used by the attorneys to better assist them in
discovery and trial strategy. We
will soon be sending an email to those of you who have not returned your
completed Questionnaire asking you to complete and return it to our office as
soon as possible. Your cooperation
and assistance regarding this matter is greatly appreciated.
As significant information becomes available, we will continue to update this website therefore, please check back periodically. In the meantime, if you need to contact our office for any reason, please direct all inquiries to the following persons:
