Ms. Margolies completed her undergraduate studies at San Diego State University where she received her bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Women’s Studies. She went on to attend the University of San Diego School of Law on an academic scholarship and received her Juris Doctorate in 2011. In law school, Ms. Margolies was a member of the Mock Trial Team and competed in state-wide trial competitions, taking first place in USD’s American Association for Justice trial competition.
Ms. Margolies has worked at the San Diego County District Attorney’s Office in their Superior Court, Sex Crimes and Stalking, and Family Protection divisions. There, she had direct interaction with peace officers, collaborating on pre-trial court hearings and felony cases. Ms. Margolies also has several years of experience in criminal defense, specifically assisting in the representation of law enforcement officers.
After 4 years in government, Ms. Margolies entered the private sector as an Associate Attorney at Bobbitt, Pinckard & Fields. Her practice areas include all aspects of representation of law enforcement officers, including criminal defense in both State and Federal courts, Internal Affairs investigations, Officer-Involved Shooting Incidents, collective bargaining, and defense of disciplinary actions.
