Our investigator, Chuck Battle, was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. While still on active duty with the US Navy, he transferred to San Diego in 1970. Chuck has over 35 years of military and civilian law enforcement and related experience, where he has both performed and supervised Internal Affairs investigations, claims investigations, personal injury investigations, accident and accident reconstruction investigations, and both criminal prosecution and criminal defense investigations.

Cumulatively, his experience stems from working for the US Navy, the San Diego Police Department, for himself as a State of California Private Investigator, license #12264, and until just recently, for the San Diego County Sheriffs Office, from which, he was honorably retired as a Sergeant, effective May 31, 2007.

Chuck has worked such varied police assignments as:

US Navy (1968 - 1974) Shore Patrol, (downtown San Diego, National City), Miramar Naval Air Station Security; during the last months of the Vietnam Conflict he served as Ships Investigator onboard the USS Ranger CVA-61, even as the carrier deployed numerous daily bombing sorties against the enemy, and lastly, he served onboard 32nd Street Naval Station as a Naval Station Military Policeman.

SDPD (1972 - 1986) Reserve Patrolman, Intelligence/Gangs, Patrol officer, Field Training Officer, Investigations, Traffic Officer.

SDSO (1991 - 2007) As a deputy sheriff he worked Detentions, Prisoner Transportation Detail; as a law enforcement sergeant he worked as a Detentions Watch Commander, then Patrol Watch Commander, Traffic Supervisor, and finally as an Administrative Sergeant.

Chuck graduated from National University Cum Laude in 1986 with a Bachelors Degree in Public Administration with an emphasis in Criminal Justice.
