MOU - Application
The current MOU was made and entered into on July 1, 2000, by and between Authorized Management Representatives ("Management") of the City of San Diego ("City"), and the Board of Directors of the San Diego Police Officers Association Incorporated ("P.O.A." or "Association"). There are currently 63 Articles that cover all aspects of a police officer's employment by the City of San Diego, ranging from annual leave to work schedules. Of particular importance to members is Article 24 (Grievance Procedure) and Article 41 (Officer Rights), since they form the basis whereby we can assert a member's right to access administrative remedies guaranteed by the Memorandum of Understanding and the Public Safety Officers Procedural Bill of Rights. Management formally recognizes the P.O.A. as the exclusive representative for all sworn employees in the Police Unit. This Memorandum applies to all classifications listed below except as the units may be amended in accordance with the City's Employer-Employee Relations Policy. Police Recruit
