Richard L. Pinckard

Rick Pinckard grew up in southern California and received his B.A. from Cal Poly - San Luis Obispo in 1980. He joined the San Diego Police Department in 1981 and served as a police officer for 6 1/2 years, completing law school while on the department. While attending law school, he was published in the Law Review and served on the editorial board. Upon graduation in 1987, Rick transferred from the SDPD to the San Diego City Attorney's Office and served as a prosecutor and then legal advisor to the Police Department. Rick was then appointed to serve as Chief Legal Counsel to the Sheriff of San Diego County and served in that capacity for 6 years under two different Sheriffs. Rick Pinckard has been with the Law Offices of Everett L. Bobbitt since 1997. On January 1, 2002 Everett named Rick as partner in the firm. The firm is now known as: Bobbitt & Pinckard, APC Rick is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court (Southern & Central), 9th Circuit Court of Appeal, the U.S. Court of Claims and the U.S. Supreme Court. In addition, Rick is also an adjunct faculty member for the San Diego Community College District where he has been teaching Criminal Justice and Constitutional Law courses since 1986. |
